Spiritfox IM Woodlands Race Report Tuesday, May 31 @ 19:43:50 MDT by batman (1703 reads) | Does anyone remember where they were on the morning of August 2nd in 1998?
I do. I was standing on the beach of the Black Bayou just outside Shreveport, Louisiana waiting for the start of the River Cities Triathlon. It was my first Triathlon and I didn't go very fast, but knew immediately that my life would be different from that day forward.

Biff's Palo Duro 50K Race Report Thursday, October 21 @ 18:17:37 MDT by batman (1930 reads) | I'm at a day-long meeting and just typed this on my phone. It's a little wordy, but if you are also at a meeting this might kill some time.

Dan's Ironman 70.3 Florida Report - 2009 Monday, May 18 @ 19:24:12 MDT by batman (2553 reads) | I am sitting on a plane flying home from Orlando, and have had a full day to recall and replay one of the most gratifying and exciting days of my life. On all of my race reports in the last year, I have made mention of my battle from Obesity. I typically reference where I came from, the trials I overcame with losing my weight, and then would reference my results. This race report will be the last I do that with. I have thought about this a lot over the past 24 hours, and I have come to the conclusion that completing my 70.3 Ironman in Florida is the moment in my life I hammered the final nail in the coffin of Obesity in the life of Dan Benintendi. I will now be the Triathlete that improved upon his results, not just the obese guy turned Triathlete. With that in mind, let me take you through race day through my eyes.

Tigger's St. Croix Race Report - 2009 Thursday, May 07 @ 15:52:22 MDT by batman (1762 reads) | Where to begin . . . . What can you say about a race that includes a shot of rum in your race packet? But don’t be fooled by the rum or by the phenomenon that is commonly referred to as “island time,” this was a serious race filled with a lot of serious athletes, and the most awesome course to ever completely (and totally) kick my butt. The answer to the obvious question is an enthusiastic, “Yes! I plan to do it again!”

Batman's Ironman Coeur d'Alene 2008 Race Report Monday, July 28 @ 12:56:01 MDT by batman (2103 reads) | Executive Summary
This is kind of long, so if you have ADD this part is for you. My first Ironman was a great experience. It was a long tough day, but I finished with a time of 13:54:56.
Background
I can’t really say that I had a reason for doing an Ironman. I signed up because the week after CDA 2007 there was a bunch of people on the Tri Cowtown forum indicating they had signed up. I just jumped in on the band wagon. I had never even considered doing an Ironman, I would have been totally content to do Sprint races.
I’m glad I did.
My last race was two years ago and it was a Sprint distance race (my longest race as well).
